Viking Sup were designed in Greece especially for the conditions of our seas and are produced in the best worldwide facilities.
Five were the main elements in the process of their design and technical integration.
A) Tolerance to the high temperatures of the Greek summer.
The truth is that in Greece we don’t use our Sup in rivers or lakes but it keeps us company for many hours on the hot shore! Most SUPs in the world are not made to stay at 45 or 50 degrees in the sun as the extreme heat increases the internal air pressure which often exceeds the 15 psi limit and leads to small or even large air leaks. Viking Sup are manufactured based on Welding Rail technology that increases resistance to internal pressure to a maximum of 25 psi. This technology allows the mechanical welding of PVC layers (Welding Rail Tech) without the use of glue and achieves the joining of two surfaces into a single and seamless structure, vertically improving the strength of the Sup especially on the side of the board ( rails ) where the two surfaces converge and where the greatest pressures are manifested.
This specific technology, presented for the first time in Greece, exponentially improves the mechanical properties of sup and especially their resistance to high temperatures. In addition, the reduction in the use of glue makes Sup odorless and increases their ecological footprint.
Further protection from high temperature is provided by the inner UV protection coating.

B) The Stability and Stiffness of the board
All Viking Sups are built with a thickness of 15cm which gives increased buoyancy and stability in gentle wave conditions. In addition, their core is made with super-reinforced and dense Drop Stich material that gives them the desired rigidity.
The combination of the above creates a Sup that adapts successfully to the restless Greek seas.
C) The Perfect Sailing
Viking Sups have a sophisticated hydrodynamic shape that makes them fast and obedient to the rider’s commands. The nose design allows them to slide comfortably and straight through the water even in light waves. Equipped with 3 fins for increased directivity. At the same time, their generous dimensions are combined in a balanced way with a progressive Rocker profile, inspiring safety and stability.
D) Load Resistance
In Greece we love our family and friends! We often take them with us on the Sup!
Viking Sups are constructed with multiple layers of high quality PVC directly fused to a very dense Drop Stich core. The result is that they achieve the top load capacities in their class.
E) The Generous Dimensions
Big Sups are more stable, comfortable and fast. They are better both for the beginner who will feel more secure and balanced on them and for the advanced who wants to develop speed and cover distance. And of course it’s the only choice for big guys and groups!
We have made sure that all Viking Sups have adequate dimensions as we believe that smaller boards ( <10ft ) are unworkable except in specialized cases ( River / Surf Sup, Kids Sup ).
