Instructions for Proper Use and Storage of Aztron SUP

BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT USE AND STORAGE OF SUP

CONGRATULATIONS on the purchase of your new iSup AZTRON.
AZTRON’s double chamber technology provides unparalleled safety, great rigidity and
excellent buoyancy. However, to enjoy your sup for a long time without problems is
necessary to follow some basic principles of good use and maintenance.

General instructions:
We always inflate the inner chamber to 2psi first, then the outer to 2psi and on
then we fully inflate the interior & the outer chamber (always in order
internal first – external later). It is recommended, at least for the first uses, to
inflate the sup with the supplied manual pump and avoid using an electric one
pump until you are familiar with the inflation process. Use only the special ones
electric pumps for sups and not just any electric pump. This is important since
the special pumps have an adjustment and “cutter” at 15psi while the others do not.
CAUTION: NEVER inflate the SUP to maximum pressure (15psi) since above 15psi
the warranty is voided. In 99% of cases there is no need to over inflate the sup
10-11psi (as low as 8psi – green zone on the pressure gauge – sup is suitable for
sailing). We suggest that you never exceed 11-12psi during high temps,
since the possible tolerances that the pressure gauge can have and the high temperatures at which
inflatable sup are exposed for a long time they can (due to air expansion) increase the
initial pressure by 2-3psi and cause problems in the boat.
After use in the water, we strictly avoid leaving the sup in a horizontal position (esp
when inflated) for a long time on hot surfaces (hot sand, pebbles, sheet metal
car). These surfaces can create very high pressure conditions
(due to expansion) inside the boat causing the sup to ‘explode’. In such
case cannot be covered by warranty.

To store sup after use:

  • Wash the sup with fresh water after use
  • We place the sup on a flat & smooth surface without stones (ideally on grass or
    sand)
  • We remove the air by lightly pressing the valve at first and after the first one has left
air, press all the way down and by turning “lock” the valve in the open position.
  • We use the pump by changing the tube in the deflate slot to
completely remove the air from the sup.
  • Fold carefully and store the sup away from the sun and places with high temperatures
    temperature.
  • If for some reason (eg house next to the coast) we don’t want to deflate the sup
after use, carry it carefully and store it in a shady place away
    from high temperatures.

Note: Small “bumps” are observed just below the valves and are
absolutely normal since there (because of the valves) it is not possible to have stiches (h
inner knit with yarns that join the top to the bottom and make the sup flat –
because otherwise it would become a “balloon”)
